As a Living School, we introduce children to a broad range of learning resources and different places with the hopes of expanding their understanding of alternative educational environments, and mentorship. Together we feel the joy of working together to create a shared urban ecosystem for all to enjoy.

Ravina Community Garden

Ravina Community Garden is one of the main sites we explore as part of our year-round programs at ______Placemake.

In 2014, the former lawn bowling club was transformed into a living, breathing and thriving urban ecosystem in the middle of a residential neighbourhood in ward 13. We are pleased to join this collaborative effort to support local wildlife as well as enhancing our shared urban environment.

Parkview Gardens

Our main hub for pick up and drop off is at Parkview Gardens Parkette, just outside of High Park Station. Each day begins and ends here, grounding our program in a familiar gathering place where children connect with one another and with the vibrant urban environment around them.

High Park

With High Park just steps away, this is an excellent site for learning and exploration. It offers children year-round access to nature, wildlife, and seasonal discovery in the heart of Toronto. As we frequent the park across seasons, we build connections to the natural world by observing changes in plants, animals, weather, and environmental rhythms. Through outdoor inquiry, play, and exploration, High Park becomes an extension of our classroom—nurturing curiosity, community connection, and a strong sense of belonging in the urban landscape.

West Toronto Railpath

The West Toronto Railpath is a 2.1 km multi-modal human-powered trail that runs north to south through Toronto’s Junction Triangle. Built on an abandoned rail line, WTR as a safe, car-free, linear park, gives our programming a unique urban space to observe, learn and activate. Since opening in 2009, it’s naturalized ecology has become a canvas for art, and a catalyst for major neighbourhood changes and connections. The George Chuvalo Neighbourhood Centre near the Wallace bridge has became our main hub for all our day camps’ drop off/pick up activities.
